Billy Townes & Friends
Jazz pianist and recording artist, Billy Townes, has built his reputation as a sought after performer not only in the Sun City but throughout the national jazz arena. His first independently released CD Stratosphere became an airplay staple at KXCR, as did his two subsequent discs, Modern Sessions and 1993’s Sun City at Night, on Voyager Records, which earned Jazziz magazine’s praise as “inventive” and “stunning” while hitting the jazz radio charts in Europe. He has performed at New York’s Blue Note Club and twice with famed Grammy nominated jazz keyboardist Rob Mullins while opening for numerous greats.
