Marty directing youth group

This group of high school students, led by Marty Olivas, represent the different school districts of El Paso. They put on a great show before a sold out crowd. These young musicians play like artists many years their senior, easily handling charts by the likes of Henry Mancini, Miles Davis and Thelonius Monk. This is testament to the seriousness and dedication of these fine students, and no less, the great efforts of a fine educator like Marty Olivas.
We were truly listening to the future of El Paso jazz. Helping Marty shape that future are fellow artists and educators: Ricky Malichi, Martin Huerta, Arath Corral, and Aaron
